3/4 cup shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup Sun-Maid Raisins
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets. Combine
shortening, brown sugar, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla; beat until light and
fluffy. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Add to shortening
mixture; mix well. Stir in oats, walnuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto
greased cookie sheets. Bake in upper third of oven at 350 degrees F. for 12 to
15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
